This website is run by Mark and Suzanne Packer, owners of Les Vaux, Saint-Pierre-d'Entremont, Orne, France. We decide how your personal data is used. You can contact us at hello@riversideretreatnormandy.com.

What we collect
Enquiries: your name, email address, phone number, travel dates, party size and any message you send us through the website form.
Bookings: details of the lead guest and party, payment records, and any information we need to collect the local tourist tax or meet other French legal requirements.
Website use: cookies and similar technologies, as explained in our cookie banner. We use non-essential cookies only if you agree to them.

Why we use it
To answer your enquiry and manage your booking. We need to do this to take steps towards, and to perform, our contract with you.
To meet our legal obligations, including tax, tourist tax and record-keeping.
To keep the website working and secure. This is in our legitimate interests.

We do not sell your data, and we do not send you marketing unless you have asked us to.

Who we share it with
We share your data only with the service providers who help us run the website and bookings: Wix (website hosting and forms), Spaceship (email), and our payment providers, Stripe and our bank. We share it with public authorities only where the law requires us to. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK or EU, under approved safeguards.

How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that do not lead to a booking for up to 12 months. We keep booking and payment records for as long as French tax and accounting law requires, then delete them.

Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to give you a copy of it. To do any of these, email hello@riversideretreatnormandy.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the CNIL in France (cnil.fr) or, if you live in the UK, to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
